About the Space
A space designed for reflection and reconnection with the natural world.
Arantara is not just a place; it is a philosophy. Located near the pristine forests of Bandhavgarh, our space is designed to help you slow down and rediscover the rhythms that the modern world often ignores.
The Heritage of Bandhavgarh
Our space sits in the shadow of the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort, which has stood for over 2,000 years. This land is more than a wildlife reserve; it is a living history where stone and sal trees have watched kingdoms rise and fall. The name "Bandhavgarh" translates to "Brother's Fort," a title given to the hill said to have been gifted by Lord Rama to his brother Lakshmana.
Today, this heritage continues through the presence of the Royal Bengal Tiger and a biodiversity that includes over 250 species of birds and 37 species of mammals. We inhabit this space with the awareness that we are merely guests in an ancient, thriving ecosystem.
The Philosophy
We believe that by observing the wild—its patience, its balance, and its quiet resilience—we can find better ways to navigate our own lives. Our space is built on the principles of minimalism, sustainability, and deep respect for the ecosystem.
